Strawberries and Cheese
Basically, Mr. Meh really liked strawberries. He saw me either them this morning with cereal and kefir. As he was trying to climb on me (while crawling), I gave him some kefir. He like it, a lot. Then I tried the strawberries. He loved them. I think also the fact that I was eating them helped -- he always wants to try and see what I'm eating. So cute.

However, the cheese story, much to my cheese-lover dismay, was slightly different. On Sunday, I gave him a morsel of a slice of provolone cheese, one of my favorites. As he was tasting it, he was making the most awful, disgusted face I've ever seen. Maybe too much taste, I thought, so I cut up into bits a low-fat, totally tasteless skim mozarella cheese (which I eat when I'm on a diet). He tried it, but made the same face. I even tried showing him how to eat it.....still...he didn't like it.

I don't know whether it's the texture or the coldness of cheese -- he loves other cold, dairy products, such as yogurt and cottage cheese -- so I don't know. In any case, I can't believe it -- that he didn't like cheese, one of his mom's diet staples.

Avocados, however, continue to be his favorite food. The baby scrafs down an avocado per day. Everyone I tell to that he's eating avocados, cracks up. I guess it's not that common, but Mr. Meh loves his avocados---will eat it even if he's complaining that he doesn't want anymore of whatever I was feeding a second earlier.

For a few months now, I've also been trying to get him to drink from a sippy cup without much success. He plays with it while eating and then ends up spilling everything on himself and his clothes.
