Demolition crew -- blocks

Andy got Mr. Meh a set of blocks for Christmas -- just plain wood, nothing bright or fancy (for change, I'm beginning to doubt whether babies enjoy all the noisy colorful toys that are made for them. Ivan doesn't always seem to care). I guess Andy was more excited about the blocks than Ivan.

We'd stack the blocks building something, and then Ivan would come and destroy whatever was build. He took such pleasure out of it too -- we started calling him the demolition crew.

However, I noticed today that when we were playing with blocks, he kept taking the pieces and trying to stack them on the stack that I was building. He's not coordinated enough to be able to precisely put the block down, but I was surprised because he was actually trying to build something instead of just knocking it over and giggling.

It's soo cool to see him evolve and learn.

And then there is always Mariposa, who tries to get her teeth on the blocks and chew on them. Quite a few pieces have her bitemarks, while two pieces have already been well chewed up. Oh well. Toys aren't meant to last forever. I guess she figures, he gets to play with my toys, so I can play with his.....
