Hanging Out in his Crib
I know that Ivan always doesn't always sleep when he's in his crib.
Sometimes, he talks to his toys -- I can hear him babbling away, especially when he wakes up in the morning or from a nap.
Other times, he bangs around in his crib -- there are all these thump noises. It must be his head or his feet he's throwing around. Although it's really loud and sounds painful, he doesn't cry, so I assume it doesn't bother him.
Last night, he kept waking up and wanting to nurse. I'm not sure why as he's usually a good sleeper. At one point (around 2 am), after I laid him back in his crib and he rolled over to fall asleep, he started talking -- for some 5-10 minutes, he kept calling "mama". He wasn't calling us (if he wanted us to come, he'd start crying), he must have been practicing the word mama. He's been saying that non-stop for the last few days. I doubt he associates it with me. I think it's just a sound he likes to make. But in any case, last night at 2 am, he spent some 5-10 minutes practiting saying mama. We were rolling over from laugher.
Then two nights ago, shortly after I put him to sleep, I quietly went into his room to leave something. Instead of sleeping, I found him sitting up in the far corner of his crib. I got the biggest grin when he saw me enter. I wonder what he was doing. He was quiet, wasn't babbling.
I'd love to install a camera in his room to see what he does behind the closed doors. It's like he has his own private nightlife that we know nothing about.
