Food update -- we like cheese

Ivan's first encounter with cheese didn't go so well, much to my dismay. Basically he didn't like it. However, I persevered...trying to give him different slices/types of cheese and now barely two weeks later, he's really liking cheese (yes, my gene pool has finally kicked in).

I'm really excited that he likes it.

So far, the "finger" foods he's tried are:
-O's (ie cheerios. The Whole Foods brand is really soft and smooth -- nice for him to chew, while the Trader Joe's kind is to textury and hard, that I'm afraid he'll choke. So basically the whole foods version it is).
-cheese: he puts piece after piece in his mouth, without swallowing individual pieces. Eventually he swallows them, although in the meantime, his mouth is full of cheese. I assume he can't choke on it.
-strawberries: in addition to spoon feeding them, I've cut them up in little pieces and put them on the tray (one by one so he eat them, otherwise, when there are too many pieces on the tray, he starts playing with the pieces and flinging them off the tray). It was funny to watch him try to pick them up. They're slippery so it required some skills. They kept slipping through his fingers, or when he's finally grab one, it would stick to the side of his fingers he couldn't see so well, so he'd look for it. I love to watch his reactions -- so careful, observant and serious.
-sweet potatoes. I cut up a piece and put it on the tray. He did well. They are less slippery than strawberries.
